It is a nice Sicilian town full of History and monuments.
It is a nice Sicilian town full of History and monuments. The city itself is a little gem as you can still see buildings that were built a long time ago still there and in use. Food and restaurants are good too as well as shops and other amenities. The only "black spot" is the fact that if you want to go to the beach you must have a car. In the evening you can enjoy a promenade in the piazza or, if scheduled, watch gigs of live music on the streets.

Sciacca is a charming place for a short stay. The residents are kind and welcoming. We enjoyed walking along the streets and the alleyways and appreciated that it is not packed with too many tourists. It is a also good base to visit The Valley of the Temples in Argrigento.

We liked the old city center with the Luna castle and the smaller, cosy pedestrian steets there. We also liked to view the activity in the habour from our roof top - it never boring. We ate at three different restaurants in the street where the holiday was situated and all three met our expectation
With Apple car play we managed our in and out of Sciacca many times as it is a nice spot for excursions into the back land - eg. Caltabellotta were a visit to Trattoria M.A.T.E.S was a highlight.
Also Sambuca and a wine taste at Di Giovanna Winery is recommendable.
We would prefer a less hot season - even September is very hot - at least in our opinion.

We went for a relaxing break, not to tour Sciacca.
We went for a relaxing break, not to tour Sciacca. We had to go through the town 3 times - thanks to the GPS, twice by accident and once to visit a Vet, (he was excellent by the way)!
The drivers in Sicily are obnoxious, selfish and do not appear to have taken any tests. Sciacca, on first appearance is a run down, dirty, rubbish filled place - however, they do, supposedly, have tourist attractions, if you wish to see the same old things that are everywhere in Sicily. We went there for the accommodation, food and friendship - which we found. If our villa had been anywhere in Sicily - that is where we whould have gone. The beaches are not very nice - photos lie! However, a lovely, quiet place for a break - out of the town!

We like the villa calandrino, beutiful pool, calm place, trees around, amazing kind staff, but Sciacca looked dirty, old bad looking architecture, bad smell around sea. We really liked ristorante Italia.
The house was one of the best holiday homes that we have had so far. All in all it met our expectations and even exceeded them. Also the contact with the owner, Alessandro, was swift and friendly. The roof top terrace with a magnificent view over the Marina and Sciacca habour was our favourite spot for breakfast and a late, light dinner - and the stairs from the kitchen to the roof top were excellent training :-) The house is situated in a cosy street with more good restaurants in short walking distance.
It's a roomy, bright, and brand new apartment in a cute town. Keyless entry very convenient. They had left on the A/C for me, so that when I arrived it was nice and cool--now that's good service! It was a little tricky to find the house, as the laneway curves, but don't worry, it's there. This was a last-minute stop, and I'm really glad I came because Sciacca is very nice. I could easily have stayed a little longer.
The communication with Domenica was timely, easy and reliable. The room did not disappoint. It was spacious, beautifully furnished, clean with a clear focus on making the traveller feel welcome. It was easy to park at the front and they threw in a lovely bottle of white wine to make us welcome- thank you! I would definitely stay again as this B&B is a must for those travelling in this part of Sicily.
Sciacca is a lovely lively town situated on a hill on the coast. The hotel was clean, comfortable and well equipped, staff was super friendly and very attentive. Breakfast offered a wide selection of fruits, cakes and others. Parking was possible next to the hotel. To reach the city centre, we had to climb some 200 stairs which was a
good exercise before the dinner with a nice sea view all the way.
Casa Yucca is close to Sciacca and yet is in a very quiet, peaceful, and beautiful setting. The beach is just a few steps away. Our place was perfect for us. The kitchen was well equipped. The bed and shower were very good. We enjoyed the terrace overlooking the sea. Francesca was very responsive and she gave us many recommendations for restaurants in the area. We would definitely return.
Modern, stylish, comfortable. Wonderful bed, big shower..... Location is fantastic. Right by the harbour at the ground floor and easy access to town ( which is all the way up the cliff, from the fifth floor.
My GPS took me around a circle for almost an hour before I called the hotel and they told me to put destination as Restaurant porto San Paolo, and that was it.
Excellent accommodation! A warm welcome from Ignazio and Simone and perfectly appointed rooms. The rooms are an eclectic blend of new and original features, the shower was very good, the bed was very comfortable and there was a well-stocked complimentary minibar. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, providing lots of information about Sciacca and Sicily.
What a wonderful hotel and great value for money. Worth the extra euros for a sea view room (marina view) we had a balcony but also the beautiful bathroom also had a balcony.
Staff were lovely and great recommendation for 10 minute drive to San Giorgio beach
East parking nearby and lovely restaurants
Everything was very good!! The location is central and near sea. The apartment is beautiful with a very good taste furniture. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. The owner was super helpful and offered was the best breakfast we had in our trip around Sicily. Super delicious 😋
Very friendly and welcoming. A convenient location, with easy parking, which is rare in Sciacca. Spacious accommodations with many amenities. A Gracious host, Manuela, who gave us excellent advice. Easy communication in English. Amazing private beach with lifeguards.
A good option for frugal travelers exploring western Sicily. Within an hour's drive most of the highlights of western Sicily can be reached. Having a kitchen makes it possible to avoid the high cost of restaurants.
The beat one we had in sicily. The staff was very helpful, the rooms were very clean, the breakfast was amaizing and the place is really in the center.
It was really a great experience.
Very clean… modern…the most pleasant people working there…2 gentlemen the day one and the night one…the best and Patricia is a doll.
All 3 made our stay wonderful 🌹
- equipment of the apartment
- parking near the apartment for free
- great breakfast
- very kind and helpful staff
- amazing city (must visit when staying in Sicily)
Perfect location and a spotless apartment, one of the best accommodations during our Sicily trip. Giacomo was super nice and tried to make our stay perfect.
